The PSA French Politics and Society Specialist Group and CEVIPOF are delighted to announce that we are hosting an event at Sciences Po Paris on Wednesday the 26th of April entitled Where to for France? The French Presidential Elections from a domestic and European Perspective. This will combine the French Politics group second annual lecture which will be delivered by Professor Cécile Alduy from Stanford University whose lecture is aptly titled: ‘Droite, gauche, ni droite ni gauche, all of the above: Présidentielles 2017: Les clivages politiques dans la tourmente‘.
This will be followed by a roundtable entitled The French Presidential Election Campaign as seen from abroad. Speakers include:
Chair: Dr Benjamin Leruth (Institute for Governance & Policy Analysis, University of Canberra)
Discussant: Dr Rainbow Murray (Queen Mary University of London)
Speakers: Dr Aurelien Mondon (University of Bath); Professor Helen Drake (Loughborough University); Marie Le Conte (Buzzfeed UK); and Stefan de Vries (RTL Nieuws)
The event is free of charge and there will be a drinks reception afterwards.
We would like to thank the Political Studies Association (through the Pushing the Boundaries grant scheme), CEVIPOF and the University of Bath’s Governance cluster for sponsoring this event.
